Today, L.J. Bryant of Grubbs filed for and announced his candidacy for Arkansas State Representative, District 52. Bryant said that his campaign will focus on the encouragement of job creation and economic growth in Northeast Arkansas. District 52 includes portions of Poinsett, Jackson, Craighead, and Independence Counties.
Bryant grew up in Weiner and Grubbs and owns four Tax and Accounting firms in Jonesboro, along with a working farm in Poinsett County. He currently serves as Director of Economic Development for the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, where he has been extremely active in attracting new business and industry to the area.
“It is a great honor to serve the communities that I grew up in—especially in the area of helping to create jobs here”. Bryant stated. “The people of this part of the state have been such an important part of shaping my life and career, to be able to give back to them now is extremely gratifying.
“The need for better and higher paying jobs has never been more critical than right now. For me to have such a foundation of not only making a steady payroll for years, but to have the experience of being a leader in economic development, places me in the perfect position to be the next State Representative for this District.” Bryant continued.Read More
